Barón do Sil elaborates wines produced from indegenous grapes from the region.
Valdeorras identity was forged over the years based on a rugged terrain. The capacity to adapt and its commitment to quality have made Valdeorras one of Spain's most dynamic region nowadays.
The result translates into wines with personality, a silky texture, balanced and elegant, expressing their origin in terms of character.
OUR VINEYARDS
With vines planted in a soil made of slate and granite, at 450 to 750 meters of altitud, Barón do Sil elaborates wines from Godello and Mencía grapes, known for their freshness and noted minerality.
Apart from now famous Godello grapes, Barón do Sil also elaborates a limited production red wine from Mencía grapes, one of the other indigenous grapes in the region.
The vignerons work the 59 hectares of vines with quality in mind, respecting the specifics of each land parcel and expressing the particulars of the Valdeorras terroir.
