The unique personality of "Tinta del País" grapes

LOCATED IN FUENTELCÉSPED, IN THE BURGOS PROVINCE, IN THE FAMOUS PLATEAU WHICH HAS GREATLY INFLUENCED THE RIBERA DEL DUERO D.O. IDENTITY.

Ribera del Duero's identity originates from an environment where harsh climate conditions has been converted into a strength.

The altitude, the wide changes in temperature and limestone soil, force the vines to adapt constantly, generating high concentration and quality.

The results are wines with structure, depth and and character reminiscent of this environment.

OUR VINEYARDS

With vineyards at 700-930 meters of altitude, in predominantly limestone soil, Díaz Bayo cultivates "Tinta del País" grapes, which have over the last centuries adapted to the local conditions in Ribera del Duero.

The wide variations in temperature between day and night favour a slow and balanced maduration of the grapes, concentrating aromas, structure and ability to age well.

The 106 hectares of vines are cultivated with the conviction and respect that only nature and time will allow the vine to express the true personality of Ribera del Duero.

The same philosophy guides the work done with our old vines and during the elaboration process.
